The Story of the media

The Story
I chose this topic to show the advance of the media culture.
These are communication supports, which are tools to disseminate information. They are the intermediaries between the transmitter, who wants to transmit his message, and the receiver. Different categories exist to classify these media, such as print, electronic media, film, or the so-called simple media, autonomous, broadcast and communication.
The birth of these media is due to a need for information felt by the population. This phenomenon developed particularly during the Second World War, although it was very present, it was conducive to the explosion of the media. The first step is thus to best meet the information needs of people living in fear. All media are solicited: posters, press, radio, film news, cinema and even cartoons. As a result, many media have been created over the decades, reflecting the advances in technology and communication facilities that are gradually being put in place.

POSTER
Since the beginning of the Second World War, we have witnessed the rise of modern political propaganda. Propaganda  posters are omnipresent in the daily life of the population.
We are witnessing a veritable war of images in parallel with the military conflict. Through the press, the cinema or the radio was exerted a double propaganda, that of the German occupant and that of the resisters.a press encompasses all the means of diffusion of the written information. The word originates from the use of the printing press, on which the professionals pressed the sheets of paper before printing them.

PRESS
The press encompasses all means of disseminating written information. During the French Revolution, the press was greatly solicited. We then attend periods of publication ban, imposed by the power of the time.
Before the revolution, following the Courrier de Provence published by Honoré-Gabriel Riqueti de Mirabeau and followed by many other publications, the Council of State prohibits any  professional to publish a newspaper or any prospectus without the authorization of the king . During the revolution, each party defended its own ideas in its own newspaper. The attacks became more and more violent.

CINEMA
The cinema as it is heard was born in 1895. It was invented by the Lumière brothers who filed the patent under the name  Cinématographe. The first public and paying performance was held in March 1895 in a lounge of the Grand Café in Paris. Cinema is a performing art.
