Bollywood: the Indian cinema industry

I chose to make an article about Indian cinema, because it is something that not everybody know

Since 1896, Bollywood is the most important regional industry of Indian cinema in number of films made. Today the Indian film industry, Bollywood, produces more than US films: 800 films against 600 for Hollywood.

Bollywood is a contraction of Bombay and Hollywood. In English, « bollywood". Based in Mumbai, the films are made in Hindi. It is the most important regional industry of Indian cinema in number of films made. These, distributed throughout most of India, are exported worldwide, including to Southeast Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.

In these films, dedicated to the entertainment of the public, mix drama, romance, comedy, action, music and dance, who talk of engagement, marriage, caste, religion.. The films are inspired as much by fashionable musical trends as by the inexhaustible wealth 

of traditional Indian dance.

These films that are Indian musicals have a big budget for their choreography.

 At the beginning there was a mix of Indian folk and classical dances and folk festival dances. As and when oriental and western influences have been added such as jazz, twist, disco, rock'n roll ...

Today bollywoods are becoming more and more known around the world. Real stars are born thanks to this increasingly growing industry !
