A VISION OF GLOBALIZATION THROUGH AN ALPINE SPORT
Alpine skiing comes from the Scandinavian countries, in large part from Norway. This alpine sport is a derive from the nordic skiing. We have to go back in 1880 to see the first skis made for the decent. This type of skis was invented by the Norwegians, also inventors of the telemark skis.

We can say that alpine skiing is recognized as a global sport since it is present in the winter olympics games. Moreover even if alpine skiing was originally from Norway, we can say that nowadays, we can do ski in a lot of countries, provided there are mountains in this country, and that in the future we will maybe be able to ski in countries that has no mountains but artificial resorts. We can also say that skiing represent a global culture thanks to the diversity of the countries participating to the mondial competitions of this sport.
Skiing is also a touristic sport, which is known as THE winter sport. That's why in most of the resorts you can meet people from all around the world.
to conclude we can say that skiing is a global sport because as it was said previously, when winter comes, most of the people, if it's not all the people, think about this sport.
But the global aspect of this sport has also a limit. Indeed skiing concerns countries with mountains and people with money, that's why most of the countries from the south part of the earth are not concerned with this sport and its global aspect.
