France in the heart of global culture - Study in France
Some foreigners only
come to learn the French language (41%). Indeed, French is considered to be a
beautiful language but it also has a major role in our current world. First of
all, the French language is the official language of approximately 200 million
people, it also is the fifth global language, and the second most learned
language. After questioning several
people, they revealed that the French language is an asset for 50% of them. Why
is that? Well, first of all, it is the only language, with the English, that is
spoken in the five continents. Moreover, it offers a privileged access in more
than 47 counties all over the world. Finally, the French language is the second
language in international information and the third in business. The French
language really is at the core of the global culture.
Finally, some foreigners
come for the French culture (38%). The French culture, is very famous
throughout the entire world. The « baguette », the red wine, the gastronomy and
fashion are a big part of our fame around the world. In fact, France’s heritage is recognized to
be among the most prestigious one in the world.
What pleases the
students? The French way of life, its gastronomy, its taste for good things,
its importance in the fashion world... In addition, France is also famous for
its many universities, such as the university de La Sorbonne. Indeed, for a
Russian student, the history of this university is one of his principal
motivations because « studying where Louis Pasteur did his studies is
extraordinary ». Then, a Norwegian student came in France just for the art of
going out during the night with his friends. He said that it was famous in
France. France is famous for being very alive and attractive, especially for
students. French culture is probably one
of the most known all over the world.
Outings, history,
gastronomy, restaurant, fashion, foreign language and high quality diploma..
Isn’t it a well place to study ? Did this article make you want to come, and

Hi Théo,
ReplyDeleteI like you're post that's why I chose to comment it.
I'm agree with you, France is a good example to speak about globalization. The country is a hub for globalization, almost the center of the world (according to the points of view), between American’s, European’s and African’s continents. This country attracts a lot of foreigners from many countries of the world and moreover many students. I think it's due to its own culture, but also the mix of Greek, Roman and many other cultures. We can see it everywhere in the country, especially in the city of Nimes where there’s antics Arenas or in Lyon with the old “gallo-romain” theaters. The globalization is everywhere in France, in the past but maybe even more in the present.
Our culture is also a huge mix of many international gastronomies.
Students come here for all those reasons, and thanks to them, they participate more and more to the globalization of our country.
I think this post must add to our class discussion because of all those elements, here there's a good example of what globalization is.
