Beauty has no borders !
Let's talk about beauty, let's talk more specifically about beauty criteria around the world.
On this picture of a French blogger (Sanaak), we can see the illustration of a woman, but not any woman, we could even call her the "world woman". This image was published during the day of the woman.
We can see different parts of the face and bust of women of different skin colors, ethnicities and different origins.
It must be understood that there is no beauty but that everyone is beautiful in its own way.
In addition, the beauty criteria are totally different from one continent or from one country to another.
For example, in Asia, one of the beauty criteria is the pallor of women's skin, unlike in Europe where women will have a preference for tanned and halted skin.
We must keep in mind that we can not judge the beauty of someone from abroad by having in mind the criteria of the beauty of his country. Even if it is true that the criteria of beauty become more and more universal, especially by the muses of famous world brands.
It's so bad if one day the beauty criteria become universal and if everyone looks exactly the same.
Does not the diversity of women around the globe make every woman unique and more beautiful than ever?
Beauty is everywhere around us, beauty is plural ...
Beauty is everywhere, and it's not about makeup, size or weight, but about being yourself.
The definition of beauty will depend on each person. Nobody perceives the beauty of the same way and this is thanks to cultural differences.
And guys, please, before judging someone, just think that everyone is beautiful in its own way and that each culture has its own beauty criteria.
Beauty has no borders.
First of all, I agree with you, every person is beautiful in her own way. We do not have all the same meaning of beauty. Furthermore, the criteria of beauty are different according to countries and their culture. The beauty is not universal every person is different according to its physical appearance, its culture and remains beautiful in her own way, nobody is alike, if it was the case everybody shall be identical there would be no more diversity and the world would be sad without diversity the life would be commonplace. I think that the criteria of beauties in which we reference for the greater part are the ones models, muses of big brands, who have many of traits in common such as the thinness, the skin flawless, the natural aspect. Every person is beautiful and nobody should allow to judge somebody just because he does not correspond to his criteria of beauty. Nobody has the same criteria of beauty certain prefer the round people, either the thin, blond, brown people … Everybody is different and that's why we are all unique.
ReplyDeleteThe beauty is everywhere.
What an interesting article!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that, nowadays we judge people's physiques too much and that what our society is essentially based on that. Indeed each brand has its muse, its icon. But the problem is, in my opinion, that we have a tendency to resemble each other and to represent a single culture through beauty despite their differences of origin. Indeed, let's take a simple example, Dior is a French brand famous all around the world, yet basically, all its muses are foreigners (Sharon Stone, Monica Belluci, Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, ...).
But to me, that seems absurd because, as you have clearly stated in your article, each culture has its ideals of beauty, criteria specific to its country, to its history. But that's not why other women and their cultures are not beautiful!
That's why I think this photo is beautiful because of what it represents. The artist really knew how to highlight all cultures and their beauty.
So to me, you made the best conclusions you could do: Beauty has no borders!
