Apple : A New Continent
Apple is a multinational company that creates consumer
electronics, personal computers, servers and computer software, and is a
digital distributor of multimedia content. The company also has a chain of
retail stores known as Apple stores. Apple's basic product lines are iphone
smartphone, ipad tablet computer and ipod. Founders Steve Jobs and Steve
Wozniak created Apple Computer on April 1, 1976 and incorporated the company on
January 3, 1977, in Cupertino, California.
The word culture means: all the knowledge
that is shared by all the countries of the world. Apple represents the word
culture because in fact this company is known all over the world. This is one
of the most used brands by the inhabitants of planet Earth. The elements that
show that it is a global culture are that Apple stores are implanted in
countries all over the world. In each home, one of two people have an Apple
product. It is a culture of assimilation for the population because Apple’s
logo (an apple) is the same for all their products and is known by everyone.
Today I decided to talk about Apple because it is a real example of the word
culture: a multinational company that adapts its products according to
different countries and thus, different cultures. This company interested me
because everyone knows Apple and they can identify themselves in my post, know
what I'm talking about. The global success of the iphone clearly shows the
benefits of globalization. The iphone is an American invention of Silicon
Valley. The iphone is an amazing machine to produce GDP all over the world. The
more iphone manufactures in factories in Southeast Asia, the more it produces
wealth and jobs in western countries.
We could talk about this topic in class
because today 4 students out of 5 have an Iphone. Moreover, because this
company really represents the globalisation and the global culture and is one
of the companies that are considered continents.
