The architecture, a symbol of globalisation
ARCHITECTURE : SYMBOL OF GLOBALIZATION
Architecture is the art of
designing spaces and building structures, respecting empirical or scientific
building rules, as well as aesthetic, classical or new concepts. This creation
including the social and environmental aspects related to the function of the
building and its integration into its environment, whatever this function:
habitable, sepulchral, ritual, institutional, religious, defensive, artisanal,
commercial, Scientific, descriptive, museum, industrial, monumental or purely
artistic.
The Architecture also define the whole of the knowledge and techniques of this art of designing and constructing complex structures. So we understand that over thousands of years, some nation were more advanced than others, more imaginative, more productive.
We can think to Egyptian or Roman
creation, Whose human are still inspired nowaday...
Years after years, the nations are to create an identity through their constructions to differ from others and show their strength and their intelligence. This is the way that the Greeks showed their political intelligence, and by the same way, american people show their economic power today.

This is why we can define architecture as "an expression of
culture."
Movement intellectual as the Renaissance created common points enter the architecture of the countries of Europe. The architecture of the Renaissance, been born in Italy, gained gradually all other countries of Europe enter the beginning of XV e century and the beginning of XVII century (Gothic architecture).

Conquest one they too to create
mixtures of culture at the level of the architecture between countries. The
conquest of Sicily by the Norman in 1061 for example.
British architecture in India
Nowaday, countries are still inspired between them for realized buildings, wich are almost artwork. For example the museum of Confluence in Lyon, it has been created by an Austrian agency.
From my point of view, this subject is very interesting because, nowadays, architecture has an important place in the heritage of many countries. It describes some facts which are very important during the History. For instance, Colosseum of Roma was the place of many shows and one of the most places of power of Roma.
ReplyDeleteNow, some tourists visit these countries in order to interpret tese monuments. Furthermore, this interpretation could be different according to the person who talks about it to another person And these differencies of opinion show that human beings exchange. In conclusion, I can say architecture is a symbol of globalization and a good way to exchange fot human beings.

DeleteI really think that this is a great article because it shows that architecture really is associated to global culture.
ReplyDeleteOften, a country is related to a certain type of architecture or monument. For example, if I say « venise » you will think about houses with water instead of streets. If I say « paris », you will think about the eiffel tower and if i say « new york », you will think about the statue of liberty and big skyscrapers.
Architecture can also relate to a certain region or county. For example, Strasbourg has triangular roofs and in northern France, houses are very coloured.
Do you know a place where all architectures can be expressed ? For example, at the universal expedition, all the pavillions of the different counries are decorated with typical architectures from their specific country.
Architecture is a way to gather people together. For example, monuments can gather people even though they aren’t always examined the same way.
Architecture leaves different traces in time, and we can see that the architeture from years ago is very different from the one we have today, which will also be very different from the one that will be there in the future.
